Dogs that are hypersensitive/itchy (because of skin problems) will often kick when you touch the are- you’ve tickled the itch. Not sure if picking up her leg is related or not. Anyway, like I said, could be a lot of things. You need to start working through the possibilities with a physical exam by a good vet.
